Blog Post 3

Computers are built so uniquely and complex... it takes a true genius to build one, a bigger one to understand one and an even bigger one to make them even better. RAMs, ROMS, CPUs, they all sound like medical terms or just jargon to me. This chapter, I had the hardest time with. It's not easy to get someone with NO computer experience, such as myself, to understand the concept of what goes into the computer, as well as the millions of parts, how they work together, why they work together, and how to get them working together yourself. It blew my mind how much work goes into a simple word processing program, much less something as complicated as the internet itself. I could barely keep up and have an newfound respect for all computer majors. Thank you, computer majors, for making the internet possible and for making my life easier by doing all the hard technical work for me. I'd just opt to live like the 16th century if it weren't for you.
